Redundant Controls

Redundant Solenoid Valves

Typical Solenoid Arrangement

Free-standing solenoid enclosures can be provided, segregating electric controls
Increased Redundancy also referred to as high availability is a beneficial add on to the majority of EFC PLC based control systems. For safety critical control systems this has become a mandatory DNV design approval requirement.
Typically, high availability includes the following hardware:
- Redundant PLC processor
- Redundant communication module
- Redundant solenoid for critical functions as agreed with client
- Dual Power Supplies
- Independent fibre optic networks
